The international promotional tour in view of the Italian edition of EUROGYM 2026 continues: Executive Director Simone Monaco took part in “Das Turnfest” in Leipzig, one of the largest German sports festivals dedicated to gymnastics and movement culture.

The event, which every four years brings together thousands of enthusiasts, athletes and sports associations from all over Germany and beyond, has confirmed itself as an important moment of exchange and visibility for the entire European gymnastics movement. In this context, Monaco’s institutional presence had a dual objective: to promote the 2026 edition of EUROGYM, which will be held in Pistoia from 9 to 17 July, and to strengthen relations with the Deutscher Turner-Bund (DTB) and the main German sports federations.

“Das Turnfest is a model of sporting and social participation that embodies the values on which EUROGYM is also founded: sharing, inclusion and promotion of gymnastics for all. Germany has always been among the most active countries in supporting this spirit and we hope for a significant presence of German groups in Pistoia in 2026” – commented Simone Monaco during the institutional meetings.

EUROGYM Pistoia 2026 took part in the great celebration of German gymnastics with an important promotional stand entirely branded, dedicated not only to the presentation of the event, but also to the promotion of the Tuscan territory and its cultural and tourist excellences.

During his visit, the Executive Director participated in several official moments, including workshops, demonstration shows and international round tables, where he illustrated the vision of the EUROGYM Pistoia 2026 project: a widespread event, integrated into the urban and cultural fabric of Tuscany, capable of offering thousands of young people a sporting, educational and tourist experience of the highest level.

The occasion was also useful to initiate direct contacts with numerous German clubs and associations interested in participating in the event, confirming the interest and attention that the Italian format is arousing at a European level.

EUROGYM 2026 will be the first Italian edition of the European gymnastics festival, promoted by European Gymnastics and organized by the Italian Gymnastics Federation and the Local Organizing Committee chaired by Alessandra Mazzatosta, with the support of the Municipality of Pistoia, the Tuscany Region and numerous institutional partners.

With over 5,000 young gymnasts expected from all over Europe, the Pistoia edition promises to be an unprecedented event in terms of participation, organizational quality and impact on the territory.
